How do I upgrade my membership status?

AMT encourages and assists members to upgrade their level of membership. If you have regularly attended AMT-accredited workshops and courses since becoming a member of the Association, you may be eligible for an upgrade.

If you would like to upgrade to a higher level of membership you will need to:

Contact AMT Head Office and ask for the checklist of hours and competencies to be sent to you or

Read the information carefully and decide if you have all the knowledge and skills necessary to upgrade to the next level of membership.
Ascertain whether you need more study in some areas. Please arrange this for yourself or ask for assistance and advice from Head Office (we may be able to suggest specific study modules or workshops).

Once you have ascertained that you have all the skills and knowledge to upgrade, send the appropriate completed form and relevant documented proof to Head Office. If your application for an upgrade is successful, you will be advised in writing and will be required to send the appropriate fee i.e. the difference in annual fee for the level you upgrade to.

If you are unsuccessful, you will receive a letter explaining where you have a shortfall. We may suggest that you work through one of our modules in specific subjects (e.g. law and ethics, pathology or anatomy & physiology). We may also advise further study in specific areas.

Please note: Your upgrade will usually be processed within two weeks of receipt of all documentation at AMT Head Office and you will be notified of the result in writing.
